STILLWATER, Okla.—Janine Veronneau of Edmond, Okla., is a member of the class of 2011 at Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. The daughter of Drs. Stephen and Bettina Veronneau, both of Edmond, Veronneau was one of 13 U.S. students who spent their summer studying veterinary medicine and public health in Africa.

STILLWATER, Okla.—Back by popular demand, the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences kicks off a series of Pet Care Seminars on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall. Dr. Paul DeMars, Small Animal Community Practice, will share information on pet anxiety and phobias.

STILLWATER, Okla.—A record number of students participated in Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Veterinary Research Scholars Program this summer thanks to competitive grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Merck-Merial Veterinary Scholars Program, the Morris Animal Foundation and OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.

STILLWATER, Okla.—Fifteen high school students from rural Oklahoma communities spent three days participating in hands-on learning activities at the Veterinary Medicine in Agriculture Summer Camp. Organized by Dr. Katrina Meinkoth, the program is designed to provide hands-on learning experiences to high school students who have expressed an interest in veterinary medicine.
