EARLY ADMISSION PROGRAM
The Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is pleased to offer an Early Admission Program. It is our newest admissions program and will offer an opportunity for students with superior academic performance to commit to their veterinary medical career goals early in the educational process. Students who achieved an ACT score of 28 in high school may apply to the program during their first semester of college. Students accepted to the program agree to complete their bachelor’s degree with the pre-veterinary required courses and maintain a GPA of 3.5 each semester of their undergraduate education.
Applicants must be enrolled in a 4-year comprehensive university in the state of Oklahoma, irrespective of residency status. Eligible applicants must have achieved an ACT score of at least 28 or be in the upper 10 percent to their graduating class and complete at least 4 semesters of science and 4 semesters of math which include the following subjects:
Science- Biology, Chemistry Physics
Math- Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry
Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong interest in veterinary medicine, effective leadership and communication skills, maturity, and other non-technical skills which reflect knowledge and aptitude necessary for successful practice of veterinary medicine. Qualified applicants will participate in interviews as part of the selection process.
2013 applicants apply as college freshmen (students who were high school seniors and graduated high school in May of 2013 should apply for the Early Admission Program in Fall of 2013).
Applications must be typed or printed legibly. Applications will be available after August 1, 2013.
Applications and application materials must be received at the CVHS September 3, 2013. Please return completed applications, ACT/SAT scores, high school transcript, recommendations (2) and the $50.00 application fee to the address listed below:
