Partnership in the Companion Animal Fund represents service to animal wellness and mankind. The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Center for Veterinary Health Sciences (CVHS) Companion Animal Fund was established in 1982 as a means for veterinarians, pet owners and friends of pet owners to acknowledge the life and death of their companion animals. Its concept is designed as an avenue to show sympathy and support for grieving pet owners and to support research dealing with the diseases and disorders that afflict animals. The fund supports scientific investigations for improving the quality of animal health care for the future. Contributions to this valued fund provide for effective methods for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of animal diseases and those transmissible to humans.
