Flow Cytometer Laboratory PDF Print E-mail

The Oklahoma State University Flow Cytometry Laboratory currently has one instrument, a Becton Dickinson FACSCalibur. The instrument has two lasers: a conventional argon laser emitting blue light at 488nm, for excitation of FITC, PE, PI, etc., and a diode laser emitting red light at 635nm for excitation of APC, Cy5, etc. This makes it possible to do simultaneous analysis of three or four fluorescent labels. The FACSCalibur also has limited sort capability (3000 cells/second). A technician is available to help run the samples or to teach the operation of the machine. There is a charge for these services.
