Eight of the 16 living members of the Oklahoma A&M College, School of Veterinary Medicine Class of 1952 gathered recently at the home of classmate Dr. Bert Glenn to celebrate their 55th year reunion. Now known as the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, it is the only veterinary college in Oklahoma and one of 28 such institutions in the nation.
The Class of 1952 was the second class of veterinarians to graduate from the Oklahoma college. There were originally 36 graduates in the all male Class of 1952. Today class size at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine averages between 80-85 students. The Class of 2011 is 72 percent female and 28 percent male.
