Delegation visits with Legislators

Bill Johnson, Michael Lorenz, Phil Richardson, Charles MacAllister, Lee Denney and Chris Ross STILLWATER, Okla.—In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the College of Veterinary Medicine, a delegation traveled to the Capitol in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Feb. 12, to visit with legislators about the OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.

Drs. Michael Lorenz, Chris Ross, Charles MacAllister, and Bill Johnson along with Sharon Worrell and Derinda Lowe hosted an informal luncheon for approximately 50 legislators.

Dr. Lorenz, Dean of the Veterinary Center, made a brief presentation to inform legislators about the Next Level Initiative. He shared details on the resources needed for facilities required to take the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences to the next level.

Among attendees were three of OSU’s veterinarians—Rep. Lee Denney (1978), Brian Renegar (1976) and Phil Richardson (1967).
