“We are very pleased with Dr. Pope’s appointment to Regents Professor,” says Dr. Michael Lorenz, dean and professor at the Veterinary Center. “Dr. Pope is recognized as an international authority in the toxicology of pesticides and his laboratory is supported by federal funding and the earnings from the Sitlington Chair in Veterinary Toxicology. He is an effective administrator in addition to his expertise in research and graduate education.”

The Center for Veterinary Health Sciences consists of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory. The Center is one of only 28 veterinary colleges located in the United States.
