(April 1, 2010   Stillwater, OK) – The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Center for Veterinary Health Sciences recently hosted the 14th Annual Phi Zeta Research Day.  The program provides veterinary students, graduate students, residents and interns an opportunity to present basic science research, applied research, clinical research or clinical case studies.

The 2010 winners in each category were:

•    Chanelle Toerien-Hayes – Post-Doctoral Basic Science Research, 1st place
•    Rinosh Joshua Mani – Graduate/Resident/Intern Basic Science Research, 1st place
•    Amanda Smith, Class of 2010 – DVM Student Clinical Case, 1st place
•    Sarah Cramer, DVM – Resident/Intern Clinical Case, 1st place
•    Suzanne Genova, DVM – Resident/Intern Clinical Case, 2nd place
•    Katie Simpson, DVM – Resident/Intern Clinical Case, 3rd place
•    Teresa Seyfert, DVM – Graduate/Resident/Intern Applied/Clinical Research, 1st place
•    Amanda Smith, Class of 2010 – DVM Student Basic Science or Applied Research, 1st place
•    Amy Edwards, Class of 2011 – DVM Student Basic Science or Applied Research, 2nd place
•    Melissa Cordero, DVM – The John King Award, overall Grand Prize Winner

Phi Zeta Research Day was organized by the 2009-2010 officers:  Drs.
