(April 14, 2009 Stillwater, OK) – The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host a Pet Care Seminar on aging pets. Dr. Kelci Porter, Resident in Canine and Feline Practice at OSU’s Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, will present, “Help Your Pet Age Gracefully” on Tuesday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall Auditorium. Pet owners will learn how to identify when their pet becomes a senior and how to be proactive in keeping their pets healthy longer. Porter will also discuss changes in a pet’s behavior or body condition that might not be age related but the onset of a disease process, which may be treatable if recognized early on.
