(May 6, 2009 Stillwater, OK) – The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Center for Veterinary Health Sciences recently held its Annual Awards Banquet. Among those honored were four veterinary faculty members, one representing each year of the veterinary medical curriculum.
Once a year, each class votes by ballot for their favorite teacher during that year. Here are the 2009 Outstanding Instructors for Years 1, 2, 3 and 4:
 
The veterinary students’ comments carried a common theme—these instructors are passionate about teaching, about ensuring that the students understand the material and about going the extra mile whether it’s learning each student’s name, holding review sessions, or making learning fun.
The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is one of 28 veterinary colleges in the United States and is fully accredited by the Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association. The center’s Boren Veterinary Medial Teaching Hospital is open to the public and provides routine and specialized care for small and large animals.
