The OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences hosted its Annual Open House on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Visitors were treated to displays about student organizations, various aspects of veterinary medicine, parasites, anatomy, recruitment, different animal species, and more in McElroy Hall and the Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.  Other activities included live animal demonstrations (miniature horses, Stillwater Police K9 Unit, llamas), Easter egg hunt, Teddy Bear Surgery, cat show and a dog show as well as guided tours through the veterinary hospital.

The Duane R. Peterson Anatomy Learning Center was filled with anatomy specimens of horses, cows, dogs, cats and even an elephant!

The center’s veterinary ambulatory truck is on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year for equine and food animal veterinary emergencies.
