Several faculty members were honored recently at the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences’ Annual Awards Banquet. The Class Teaching Awards were established in 1993 as a means for instructors to be honored by their students. These awards are presented to instructors for outstanding instruction in the first, second, third and fourth year of the veterinary medicine curriculum. Selection of the recipients is unique in that the winner is determined by votes cast by members of each class. Student representatives from each class presented a plaque and $500 check to their respective class winner. Dr. Jim Lish, assistant professor, Physiological Sciences, received the first year Class Teaching Award.
Dr. Susan Little, professor, Pathobiology and Krull-Ewing Endowed Chair in Veterinary Parasitology, received the second year Class Teaching Award.
The third year Class Teaching Award was given to Dr. Sandra Morgan, associate professor, Department of Physiological Sciences.
Dr. Lyndi Gilliam, Assistant Professor in Equine Internal Medicine, received the fourth year Class Teaching Award from the Class of 2007. Dr. Gilliam was unable to attend the Awards Banquet due to a previous commitment. |
