OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is hosting its bi-annual Open House on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The community is invited to come to the Veterinary Center located on Farm Road on the Stillwater campus. Visitors will see live demonstrations, exhibits and the many services available to the public. Guided tours of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital will be available by appointment. Call (405) 744-6961 to book a tour. “Open House gives us a great opportunity to share with the community the many educational and research programs that are a part of every day here at the Veterinary Center,” says Dr. Michael Lorenz, professor and Dean of the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. “We take pride in educating the veterinarians of tomorrow and meeting the community’s animal healthcare needs. We hope folks will join us during Open House.” A special Teddy Bear Surgery will be available on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Youngsters are encouraged to bring their torn teddy bears. Veterinary students will use their surgical skills to repair the toys. To make a Teddy Bear Surgery appointment, call Jennifer at (405) 880-0672. |
