The Carl J. Norden-Pfizer Distinguished Teacher Award is presented annually to a faculty member at each College of Veterinary Medicine in the United States.
It is the most prestigious teaching award in Veterinary Medicine. At Oklahoma State University, the recipient is selected by ballot of faculty and students. This year’s winner is Dr. Rebecca Morton. Dr. Morton has won this award twice before, has six class teaching awards and has been named OSU Regents Distinguished Teacher for the College of Veterinary Medicine twice. She has been a faculty member for the past 32 years. She is certified by the American Board of Veterinary Microbiologists and is recognized internationally as an authority on tularemia. She loves to teach, loves OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, loves her family and is truly loved by students. Dr. Morton will retire June 30, 2007, and will be missed by the College. |
