The program is sponsored by the University Offices of Intercollegiate Athletics and Academic Affairs. It seeks to recognize individuals who have demonstrated support of the positive values of intercollegiate competition that contribute to student success.

Breazile was selected as one of the university representatives who demonstrates these values. He received a Faculty Appreciation Award in recognition of his service on the University Athletic Council for six years, the past three years as council president.

Dr. Breazile is a professor in the Physiological Sciences Department at the Veterinary Center’s College of Veterinary Medicine. His fields of interest include: neurophysiology; neuroanatomy; cardiovascular, respiratory and renal physiology; and humane euthanasia.
