(March 17, 2009 Stillwater, OK) – The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host a Pet Care Seminar on epilepsy in pets. Dr. Mark Neer, Director of the center’s Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, will present, “Why is my pet having seizures, could it be epilepsy?” on Tuesday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall Auditorium.
Pet owners will learn about the causes of and the treatments for seizures in the dog and cat. In addition, information about the owner’s role in managing a seizure patient will be discussed.
Pet Care Seminars are open to the public at no charge. Parking and light refreshments are available. McElroy Hall is located at the corner of McFarland and Farm Road on the Stillwater campus.
The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is one of 28 veterinary colleges in the United States and is fully accredited by the Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
