Dr. Betty Self graduated from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1957. She was only the second woman veterinarian to graduate from Oklahoma State at that time. Following her graduation, Dr. Self and her husband, Dr. Leon Self, also Class of 1957, moved to Ada, Okla., to practice veterinary medicine. The City of Ada recently featured Dr. Self on their program, “Explore Ada.” Click here to watch the video
