The OSU-VTH provides emergency service to the general public in the surrounding Stillwater area as well as for our local and regional referring veterinarians and their clients. Emergencies are accepted anytime, including after 5:00 pm, weekends, and all holidays. The hospital has the facilities to provide 24 hour case management for horses, food animals, small ruminants, camelids, and small animals (dogs, cats, exotics) which have critical care needs.

The hospital is staffed 24 hours a day with registered veterinary technicians and a veterinarian is on call for emergencies at all times. In addition, the VTH has board certified radiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, internists, and ophthalmologists who help provide ultimate management of the critical care patient. What this means to the client is that their pet/ animal will receive the highest level of critical care management 24 hours a day and that the animal is always under the watchful eye of our staff and never left alone. This sets us apart from other emergency hospitals.

Providing this type of care requires many resources, personnel, and a major financial investment by the hospital. Our mission is to provide the ultimate in critical care management so that each patient has the highest likelihood of recovery.
