11th Sitlington Lecture in Toxicology to focus on Developmental Toxicity PDF Print E-mail

(November 4, 2010 Stillwater, OK) – Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences invites the OSU community and the public to the 11th Sitlington Lecture in Toxicology on Friday, Nov. 19, at 2:30 p.m. in McElroy Hall Auditorium. Guest speaker, Stephanie Padilla, Ph.D., neurotoxicologist in the Integrated Systems Toxicology Division of the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Research Triangle Park, N.C., will present “Using Zebrafish to Screen for Developmental Toxicity.”

OSU to Host 2nd Annual Lundberg-Kienlen Lectureship in Biomedical Research PDF Print E-mail

(October 21, 2010   Stillwater, OK) – OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host the 2nd Annual Lundberg-Kienlen Lectureship in Biomedical Research on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 2:30 p.m. in the McElroy Hall Auditorium located at the corner of McFarland and Farm Road on the Stillwater campus.  The speaker will be Sadis Matalon, Ph.D., Dr. Sc (Honorary), Alice McNeal Professor and Vice Chairman for Research in the Department of Anesthesiology and the Director of the Pulmonary Injury and Repair Center at the School of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The Race is On: Who can raise the most to support veterinary student scholarships? PDF Print E-mail

(October 22, 2010   Stillwater, OK) – Alumni of the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences recently established “The Alumni and Friends Endowed Scholarship Fund” encouraging 1,000 alumni and friends to each donate $1,000.  The funds donated will create an endowment to support veterinary student scholarships for years to come and will qualify in varying amounts for the Pickens Legacy Match giving donors the maximum benefit for their generosity.

OSU Veterinary Center Alumnus Inducted into Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame PDF Print E-mail

(October 15, 2010   Stillwater, OK) – Dr. Roger Panciera, a 1953 graduate of the then Oklahoma A&M College’s School of Veterinary Medicine, was one of 11 educators inducted into the 17th Annual Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010. The ceremony was held at the Jim Thorpe Museum located at 4040 North Lincoln in Oklahoma City.
