(October 15, 2010 Stillwater, OK) – Dr. Roger Panciera, a 1953 graduate of the then Oklahoma A&M College’s School of Veterinary Medicine, was one of 11 educators inducted into the 17th Annual Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010. The ceremony was held at the Jim Thorpe Museum located at 4040 North Lincoln in Oklahoma City.

(September 21, 2010 Stillwater, OK) – Heather Austin, a fourth-year veterinary student at OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, recently competed in the Society for Theriogenology Student Abstract Competition held in Seattle, Wash. Austin placed 2nd for her presentation entitled, “Surgical correction of priapism in an 18-year-old Quarter Horse gelding.”

(September 8, 2010 Stillwater, OK) – Two individuals from Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences received top awards at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists held recently in Atlanta, Ga. Lindsay Starkey, Class of 2011, won best paper presentation and Stephanie Heise, DVM, received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award.
