OSU Veterinarians Offer Patients More Options PDF Print E-mail

(October 13, 2011   Stillwater, OK) – Two veterinarians at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences are now offering a new service to veterinary patients.  Drs. Jill Brunker and Drew Hanzlicek have completed training and can now place tracheal and urethral stents in patients who can benefit from this procedure.

Veterinarians Affecting Global Health PDF Print E-mail

(September 29, 2011   Stillwater, OK) – Veterinary medicine and global health will be the topic of the keynote address at Oklahoma State University’s Annual Fall Veterinary Conference to be held on the Stillwater campus on October 6 and 7, 2011.  Sponsored by the Class of 1963, Guy Palmer, DVM, Ph.D., will present “The Challenge for Veterinary Medicine in Global Health” at 11:30 a.m. in the Wes Watkins Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 6.  His one hour seminar is open to the public at no charge.

Pet Care Seminar: Vaccination Puzzle: What, When and How? PDF Print E-mail

(September 13, 2011   Stillwater, OK) – Lara Sypniewski, DVM, community practice veterinarian at OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, will discuss the what, when and how of vaccinations at the October Pet Care Seminar.  Held the first Tuesday of each month during the academic year, except December and January, the next seminar of the series will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. in the McElroy Hall Auditorium located at the corner of McFarland and Farm Road on the Stillwater campus.

OSU Veterinary Student Travels to Africa PDF Print E-mail

(September 27, 2011   Stillwater, OK) – While some students spent their summer poolside or playing sports, one Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences student spent time volunteering at a chimpanzee sanctuary and attending a conservation medicine course in Africa.

Lorenz Returns to Clinics PDF Print E-mail

(September 7, 2011  Stillwater, OK) – Following a long and productive administrative career, Dr. Michael Lorenz returned to full time clinical and teaching assignments on August 15 at OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.  Lorenz holds board certification in small animal internal medicine with special interests in small animal neurology and dermatology.
