You’re Invited to OSU’s Veterinary Center PDF Print E-mail

(February 24, 2012   Stillwater, OK) – It’s time to visit Oklahoma’s only veterinary college located on the west end of Oklahoma State University’s Stillwater campus.  The OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host its Annual Open House on Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  There is no charge to attend.  The center is located on Farm Road between Western and McFarland.

One Health Conference: First of its kind slated for Oklahoma PDF Print E-mail

(February 14, 2012   Stillwater, OK) – For the first time in Oklahoma’s history, a One Health Conference will be held in Tulsa, Okla., on April 5, 2012, at the Tulsa Convention Center.  Sponsored by Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, Oklahoma State Department of Health and One Health Kansas at Kansas State University, this ground-breaking seminar is complimentary and open to physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, veterinary practitioners, veterinary technicians, public health professionals and all other health care professionals.

Seminar to Focus on Wildlife PDF Print E-mail

(February 14, 2012   Stillwater, OK) – Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host a Pet Care Seminar on Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall Auditorium.  Cornelia Ketz-Riley, DVM, will present “Wildlife in Your Backyard.”  Pet Care Seminars are open to the public at no charge.

New Imaging Modality Available at OSU’s Veterinary Center PDF Print E-mail

(February 9, 2012   Stillwater, OK) – Oklahoma State University’s Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital recently added to its advanced imaging capabilities a 1.5T GE EchoSpeed MRI unit.  Housed in a trailer on the north side of the veterinary hospital, the MRI can accommodate dogs, cats, small ruminants, pot belly pigs and exotic patients up to approximately 300 pounds.
