Summer Research Training Program for Veterinary Students
Are you interested in exploring opportunities for a veterinary career in biomedical research? Have you considered pursuing an internship, residency, or graduate training sometime after graduation?
The Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences offers mentored training for veterinary students in biomedical research through a 12-week paid summer immersion experience. The Program is a great way to discover if research is the right career path for you.
A variety of research projects are available each summer, including ones which focus on infectious and parasitic diseases, respiratory physiology, equine medicine, toxicology, pharmacology, biomarkers, and clinical research topics. Students who have participated in the program in the past have given it high marks for being fun, exciting and beneficial to their career development.
Funding for the OSU-CVHS Summer Scholars Program has been made available from the National Institutes of Health, Merial Ltd. (http://www.merialscholars.com), the Morris Animal Foundation, and the OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. |
