OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences will host the 4th Annual Lundberg-Kienlen Lectureship in Biomedical Research. The lecture is open to the public at no charge. Guest speaker Craig Henke, M.D., will present "Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis: Pathologic IPF Fibroblasts and Their Cell of Origin."
Henke is a professor of medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care, Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive and lethal fibrotic lung disorder where alveolar airspace is replaced with fibroblasts and a major connective tissue product, type 1 collagen.
Lin Liu, Ph.D., hosts the annual lectureship. An OSU Regents Professor, Liu directs the veterinary center's Lung Biology and Toxicology Laboratory.
