| Job Description | My name is Robert Thoni, DVM, class of 1981. I own a well established mixed practice, 50% equine- 50%small animal, in Kilgore, TX. I am looking for an energetic, fun loving small animal veterinarian that works well with other to compliment our practice. We are a large practice that see approximately 70-100 clients a day and performs 10-15 smal animal surgeries a day, both soft tissue as well as orthopedic. We do not have to take small animal emergency calls because we have an emergency clinic 10 miles away. The clinic is well staffed with 19 employees. We can board up to 80 dogs and cats at a a time. We have a full service lab, digital radiographs, ultrasound, endoscope, intra-operative radiographs, and many other play toys. We do a lot of orthopedic such as plates, pins, and external fixators. We are located in the piney woods of East Texas, 125 miles east of Dallas, less than 200 miles from Houston, and 60 miles from Shreveport, LA. Kilgore has a population of 10,000 people but we draw from a radius of 100 miles. We have several benefit packages that include medical insurance, malpractice insurance, matched retirement plans, continuing education paid yearly, and time off with pay. I feel we can be competitive with salary sinse the cost of living in East Texas is half of what it is in Dalllas or Houston. As I mentioned I am looking for a hard working, well motivated individual interested in small animal practice to compliment my busy 2 doctor practice. |
