| Job Description | Small Animal Medicine and Surgery is a veterinary hospital for dogs and cats (and an occasional rabbit or pocket pet) established in 1993. We are a beautiful AAHA accredited hospital. Our mainstay is routine health care, medicine, and surgery. However we also see exciting complex cases and second opinions where clients are willing and able to diagnose and treat their own pets. The hospital is fully equipped with EKG, ultrasound, endoscopy, pulse oximeter and blood pressure, tonopen, orthopedic pins and plates, digital radiology, ect. We have ready access to specialty referral practices in the area and the Veterinary schools at NCSU and Virhinia Tech. We do no emergency work and are fortunate to have an excellent emergency clinic to handle both our emergencies and cases that need continous monitoring through the night and weekend. We are a two doctor practice with a hospital staff that is stable, appreciates teamwork and cooperation, and has a lot of fun. We are looking for a full time veterinarian to join our team. a positive attitude, good work ethic, rich sense of humor, and a touch of humbleness are needed. We would like someone who has a desire to become a permanent part of a well established "vet family" and the surrounding community.
