Angel Animal Hospital, LLC in Springfield, MO, Gateway to the Beautiful Ozarks, is seeking a highly motivated veterinary associate with superb people skills and a sincere desire to practice high quality companion animal medicine. Our progressive approach to practice and plans to open a state of the art facility in 2009 offer associates a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity. Angel Animal Hospital, LLC is a full service companion animal hospital dedicated to providing high quality veterinary healthcare throughout each patient’s life. Emphasizing Well Care, we strive to prevent disease before treatment is required in order to maximize the time our patients have to share with their owners. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each client. We emphasize client education to provide our clients the information needed to make the best decisions for their pet’s health. We take pride in maintaining a high standard of care in our hospital to help ensure our client’s best friend enjoys a happy, healthy and long life. Our hospital currently fields a 4-doctor staff (one board certified) with more than 50 years of combined practice experience. We maintain a well-stocked pharmacy and provide medical, surgical, dental, boarding and grooming services. We routinely use advanced anesthesia monitoring and require pre-operative blood work and pain meds, intra-operative IV fluids and strongly encourage post-operative pain management. Other diagnostics routinely used in our hospital to care for our patients include a wide array of clinical laboratory tests (i.e., blood work, urinalysis, culture and cytology), radiography, ultrasonography, blood and ocular pressure monitoring. Our hospital currently uses the Avimark practice management software with plans to go paperless in the near future. Our professional staff is well suited and eager to support and mentor a new graduate. Successful applicant must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Missouri and will be required to register with the DEA and BNDD. Primary duties involve providing general veterinary medical care to the hospital’s patients and service to its clients. Additional duties will include providing guidance, leadership, training and occasionally supervision to members of the healthcare team that positively influence the level of care and service provided to our clients and patients. Individual will participate in a rotating schedule designed to equally share duty with the other doctors. The hospital’s current hours of operation are from 7 am-6 pm M-F and 7 am-1 pm on Saturdays. Associates are strongly encouraged to develop specific area(s) of interest to enhance our team’s capabilities. Compensation includes a base salary with production bonus and benefits. Base salary is dependent on the value of the benefits package negotiated but will range from $40,000 to $55,000 for a new graduate. Available benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, pet benefits, paid time-off, holidays, uniforms, continuing education, licenses, professional liability insurance and possibly others. Total compensation package is typically 23-25% of production. We expect to fill this position by June 15, 2008 but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
