| Job Description | New position with City of Tulsa will maintain the Animal Shelter Veterinary Clinic providing veterinary care for the health and wellbeing of the animals. Position will manage animal shelter veterinarian clinic including providing regular veterinary care and treatment of animals, spays and neuters and administering post surgery veterinary care and emergency care when needed. Position will oversee veterinary procedures for clinic and oversee medical record system. Position will be primary liaison for the department with area veterinarians and animal rescue/welfare individuals/groups. |
| Qualifications | Graduation from an accredited school of veterinary medicine and seven (7) years of veterinary medical experience in a veterinary capacity. Comprehensive knowledge of modern veterinary medicine, federal, state and local laws, and management techniques. Ability to provide veterinary services, diagnostic and medical treatment. Ability to direct and supervise veterinary programs and activities. Ideal candidate will have municipal experience and previous Animal Welfare program development experience. Position requires license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Oklahoma. |
