| Job Description | I have a small animal practice in Chickasha, OK and a mixed animal practice (primarily a food animal practice) in Verden, OK. The clinics are 7 1/2 miles apart. I am wanting to hire a veterinarian who is proficient in both food animal medicine and small animal medicine. At the small animal clinic in Chickasha, we have a routine small animal practice. By that I mean we do routine vaccinations, spays, neuters, tumor removals, generalized surgeries, etc. We also have sick animals come in for diagnostics and treatment. My clinic in Verden is a mixed animal practice. We do primarily food animals. We process stocker calves, pregnancy check cows and heifers, fertility check bulls, artificially inseminate heifers and cows, and assist heifers and cows with difficult calvings. We also do a minimal amount of routine small animal medicine at the Verden clinic. We do a small amount of routine equine medicine. That would include routine vaccinations, teeth floatings, Coggin's testing, dewormings, treating the occasional colic horse, castrations, etc. I have excellent facilities that are well staffed. At present I have two other veterinarians working for me and we are trying to add another veterinarian, so we would have four veterinarians altogether. I am looking for a veterinarian who can work at both clinics, is very confident in their skills, and can help add additional services to the clinics. Someone who is interested in adding embryo transfer work, record keeping and production medicine would be a plus.
