We are seeking a talented and clinically experienced veterinarian to work with colleagues in strengthening the research efforts in the broad arena of Food and Production Animal disease in this time of dynamic change in the Faculty. The post-holder will be expected to deliver and contribute to the development of both under and post-graduate teaching and have an enthusiasm and commitment to the improvement of, and the maintenance of excellence in clinical work. You will join the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at an exciting time of development in the field; by way of staff recruitment and a significant investment in a capital programme (£2 million) to build a new food animal teaching and clinical unit accommodation (under construction). By making this investment, the Faculty is demonstrating its continuing support to agricultural communities and the rural environment. This is an ambitious Faculty, and therefore the successful candidate for this challenging position will have to posses the necessary blend of strong leadership and management skills, proven scientific research achievements, have an excellent record of obtaining research funding and have broad teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in order to be considered for this unique and exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of strategic development in the Veterinary Faculty
