Job Description

Looking for associate interested in alternative therapies. Associate must have a good understanding of traditional therapies in order to be a good practitioner of holistic therapies. Associate must be upbeat and enjoy working with others.

Currently we are a one-doctor practice with 9 staff members, including 4 who are graduate or certified technicians and two who are in the technician college program. Our staff members are all full-time, long-term employees and we have minimal to no staff turnover. Enjoyable, busy work atmosphere with plenty of time off to enjoy life outside of work. Staff benefits include health and dental insurance, simple IRA, paid time off, bonus program based on production, personal trainer at the gym, staff weekends away, management consultant, and paid continuing education. Doctors are paid a commission based on production, with a guaranteed minimum the first year for a new graduate. No emergency coverage, no weekend coverage. Hospitalization patients are transferred to local 24-hour-care facilities if needed on weekends. Local referral specialists include orthopedics, oncologists, soft-tissue surgeons, and internal medicine specialists. We are only 45 minutes from the University of Pennsylvania for complicated referral cases. We are building a new clinic which is scheduled to open in March 2010. We have digital x-ray, in-house lab, and all the usual toys. Owner is willing to consider any new toys an associate might want if use is justified. If the fit is right, owner will send associate for further training in alternative therapies if desired. Owner currently does equine chiropractic and acupuncture on the side and would love to expand this part of the practice.

Clayton Veterinary Associates is located in fairly rural area of southern New Jersey. We are located in a town of 8,000 people surrounded by farmland. We are 45 minutes from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Jersey beaches, and 1 and ½ hours from New York City.
