Job Description

Having trouble finding mixed animal practices that offer a reasonable large animal caseload? Look no more! Our two doctor mixed animal practice located in Princeton, KY sees 35% equine, 45% small animal, and 20% cattle and small ruminants! Our equine work revolves around three large area horse farms with several hundred head of horses per farm. The remainder of our large animal is fairly evenly split between beef cattle, small ruminants and a little dairy work. Our diverse caseload, supported by loyal clientele, allowed us to gross 1.2 million last year… proving that mixed animal medicine can be financially rewarding! We are looking for a full-time mixed-animal associate seeking the opportunity to live in a small town (population 8,000) and practice exceptional medicine. Candidates looking for a long-term fit are ideal, as we are looking for a young associate to mentor and prepare for eventual partnership if the fit is right. We would be happy to hire and mentor a new graduate with strong client service and communication abilities. A large animal background, including a working knowledge of how to handle them, would be a bonus. We want a candidate who is honest, team-oriented, outgoing and who shares our Christian values. In addition to our desire to do some mentoring, our practice boasts a wide array of strengths. We offer: Laser Therapy (Cold and Hot), Ultrasound, Full Blood Chemistries, Fully equipped Equine Facility, Fully Equipped Bovine Facility, Paperless Medical Records and Radiography. The right candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits based on the AVMA’s recommendations, including paid emergency work, Health Insurance, a SEP Program and paid CE. We are located in Princeton, KY and offer small-town living at its finest. With a population of 8,000, we’re big enough to have amenities such as health care, great schools and athletic programs, but small enough to boast an extremely low crime rate and a low cost of living. If you’re looking for an opportunity to serve neighbors and friends, Princeton could be it!

Qualifications New graduates welcome. DVM and ability to obtain KY license.
