Job Description
Qualifications Do you love feline medicine, yet want to continue seeing dogs and pocket pets? Our AAHA-Member, small animal practice is seeking to add a full-time associate in order to meeting the growing client base!

We are located in Midland, Texas (population roughly 100,000) and are ideally situated in a popular shopping center strip mall. We have a loyal, experienced support staff of nine – including several veterinary technicians, client service representatives and kennel attendants. We also boast equipment/facilities including:
• In-House Lab
• Radiography
• Endoscope
• We are also willing to add additional equipment if an associate desires it
• Two Exam Rooms

Our practice is busy and treats a caseload consisting of:
• 49% Cats
• 49% Dogs
• 2% pocket pets – With an opportunity to grow this segment if a new associate is interested

We are open for a full-day of business Monday-Friday and until noon on Saturday. Surgeries are scheduled for the morning and we typically do 4-6 each day. Our afternoons are usually spent seeing both appointments and drop-offs.

Our practice has been thriving (one doctor produced a gross of $765,000 in 2009) for 22 years. We owe our success to our reputation for offering compassionate care to all our patients and our above-average knowledge of feline medicine. We have a large referral base and we’ve simply reached our maximum given our current staff numbers. We are looking for an associate:
• New graduates or experienced veterinarian welcome
• Enjoys feline medicine
• Is a team player – No egos!
• Is proficient at, and enjoys, client communication
• Interest in partnership/ownership

We are happy to reward the right candidate with a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
• Starting salary of $62,000 plus, based on experience
• 10 paid vacation days
• 5 paid holidays
• 3 Paid Sick Days
• Continuing Education
• 50% of Health Insurance paid
• Licensing and Dues
• No emergency work! – There is a brand new ER facility and an opportunity to work shifts there if the new associate wanted to make additional income
