| Job Description | POSITION: The School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SVMBS), University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invites applications for a Clinical Practice Veterinarian. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position, 100% teaching appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice. Reporting responsibilities are to the Director of the SVMBS. Salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments. The location of the appointment will be at the UNL School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences located in Lincoln, NE and at the Great Plains Veterinary Educational Center (GPVEC) in Clay Center, NE. Main focus of the position is instruction of veterinary students with the secondary focus of veterinary service and continuing veterinary medical education. RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility will be to provide instruction in the first two years of the veterinary curriculum. The incumbent is expected to develop, organize and teach clinical cases incorporated into the curriculum. The incumbent will also take an active role in the GPVEC educational program in clinical food animal medicine, including assistance in classroom and field teaching activities of veterinary medicine students and providing assistance with continuing education for practicing veterinarians. The incumbent may pursue an advance degree.

| Qualifications | QUALIFICATIONS: DVM or equivalent, experience in companion and food animal medicine and excellent communication skills (oral and written). Preferred qualifications: experience teaching veterinary students and working knowledge of livestock production systems and husbandry. |
