Carson City (pop. 58,000), the capitol of Nevada, is a 15-minute drive from Lake Tahoe, with its world renowned ski resorts, and 30 minutes from Reno, with its international airport. Carson is big enough for all the amenities of city life, yet relatively free of the congestion of a big city. The northern Nevada region is rapidly growing, with a current population of 600,000. San Francisco, Napa and the Bay Area can easily be reached for a weekend getaway (~3-6 hour drive). The wide open spaces of Nevada are 87% public lands, offering unlimited recreation activities. The high desert climate of northern Nevada enjoys many days of sunshine with four moderate seasons. Nevada has no state income tax! We are looking for a committed veterinarian to join a team running a large facility that is equipped at a university hospital level. During the initial training period, the successful candidate will work primarily general practice medicine during the weekday day shifts. After the training period, the candidate will have the opportunity to select a flexible schedule, part or full time. We are seeking highly motivated, individuals. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on experience, from $80,000 for new grads to six figures for a seasoned professional. Contact: Valerie E.
