Faculty Position; The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Western University of Health Sciences (WestemU), Pomona, California, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in veterinary physiology, at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank. Successful candidates are expected to pursue scholarly activity, and will participate in DVM degree courses at all levels of the curriculum.


 


The WestemU CVM seeks a team-oriented educator with strong communication skills who will take responsibility for implementing a professional curriculum founded on the principles of 1) student-centered, self-directed learning, 2) reverence for life and 3) excellence in clinical education through the development of strategic partnerships. The CVM website wwv.westernu.edu contains important information about our unique curriculum. Although primary duties are instructional, faculty are expected to participate in scholarly activity. Candidates with strong research interests and productivity are preferred.

Qualifications The PhD, or DVM (or its equivalent degree, with advanced training in physiology) is required. The DVM with an advanced degree andlor specialty board certification representing strong contemporary knowledge of veterinary physiology is preferred. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
