| Job Description | PRACTICE TYPE: 100% Small Animal POSITION: Small animal medicine and surgery, some avian and exotic. RESPONSIBILITIES OF EMPLOYEE: Clinical medicine and surgery. Share night and Sunday calls, 40-hr workweek, rotating weekends off. SPECIAL INTERESTS DESIRED IN EMPLOYEE: Endoscopy, ultrasound, laser surgery PRACTICE BREAKDOWN: Canine 60%, Feline 38%, Exotic/Avian 2% HOSPITAL: 6000 square feet, 4 exam rooms, four veterinary technicians HOURS: 40-hour workweek. SALARY AND BENEFITS: $60-$65,000, 1/2 basic health insurance, AVMA and IVMA dues paid, time off for continuing education, retirement plan contribution after first year. COMMUNITY INFO: Council Bluffs population: 80,000, Omaha-Council Bluffs Metro: 300,000 with many cultural and entertainment events in the metro area. the metro area has just been rated the number three and number five best places to live in the USA.
