| Qualifications | Qualifications:
Vet Lead: DVM (absolute requirement). International experience a plus. Familiarity with international animal health regulations (OIE) a plus. Management experience. Research or surveillance/epidemiology experience a plus. Must be able to interface with various stakeholders including the Government of Ukraine State Veterinary Service and outside trainers/research collaborators. Experience with a surveillance system desirable. Contacts amongst veterinary organizations (OIE, FAO, US or other surveillance or training institutes) desirable. Main responsibilities include management of a staff of local scientists with expertise in animal health; preparation of documents for submittal to DTRA; development of a vet training plan; contributions to other deliverables related to training and research; coordination of vet research project efforts (with outside collaborators); integration with other Leads; implementation of international animal health standards (as applicable). |
