| Job Description | New genetics laboratory, dedicated to canine diagnostics in Spokane, WA seeking a Veterinary Medical Director. Candidates must have a DVM degree and relative laboratory experience. Duties include: Job Description: 1. Oversee the medical genetics aspects of our diagnostic testing and carrier screening programs 2. Provide medical assistance to our genetic counselor 3. Review website and brochures for accuracy 4. Be an advocate of the company in building relationships with various veterinary societies 5. Head our educational program and outreach to veterinarians and breeders. This will involve travel and presentations 6. Work on assay development in the laboratory 7. Review and sign-off on assay validation protocols and results 8. Daily case review and sign-out 9. Be an integral part of our scientific team
